Today, I had the great opportunity to be part of TEDxAmsterdam (must see trailer above) and what an amazing experience it has been. Growing up on the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa, I would never have dreamed of taking the stage with such incredible individuals doing amazing work in bringing positive change to the world.

With talks ranging from “Space Colonisation” by Nobel Prize winner in Physics Prof. Gerhardus ‘t Hooft to learning about the power of personalized medicine by Dr. Anita Goel. The entire day was one filled with flowing of ideas and inspiration with each speaker bringing such value to the TED community and society.

My contribution was to share our RLabs and JamiiX experiences since our participation at TEDxChange. We’ve seen rapid growth in our Mobile Services that have expanded beyond South Africa and soon reaching South East Asia. This inspiration flowed from the participation at TEDxChange.

The idea I shared was that “We all can change the world by giving hope and changing someone’s world”. Because I believe that hope is where people have certainty in the present and expectation for the future. The TEDxAmsterdam platform was also the opportunity to share that our RLabs and partner support mobile services have just reached over 250,000 people (Will post more details soon).

To me, TEDxAmsterdam was a day of ideas, inspiration, putting those into action and changing the world. Well done to Jim Stolze and the team for an unforgettable event experience and thank you for changing my world.
